Question by phia: I’m throwing a pirate party for my son (6) and 20 of his closest friends any pirate party game ideas?
we will have a treasure hunt the treasure will be everything that that they would need to put together a pirate costume (from the dollar store) then we will have a balloon sword fight with teams that will have red and black balloon swords (i learned how to make at another party because my son’s kept popping his and the “Fairy” got sick of making new ones. then there will be presents then cake last the cake will be made by a friends mother who owns a cake a making business it will be a pirate ship. Any suggestions on how to make this the party of the Year? its only2 hrs this weekend and we have small budget

I have a friend whose going away party is on Saturday. That day also happens to be the day of the Pirates Ball in Hollywood. Which do I go to? Here are the facts:

hubby and I really LOVE pirate culture. We got married in the Caribbean and our house has a pirate theme,

the ball is being thrown in honor of the new Pirates of Caribbean movie so it’s gonna be badass (in other words, not a yearly thing),

We already have pirates costumes. I’m looking for any excuse to wear mine again.

I have known her less than a yr (she is good friends with my BFF and my sister). She’s really sweet.

I will spend twice as much if I try to go to my friend’s dinner, then go the pirate thing after.

I have a big mortgage so it’s better that I spend less $$,

I don’t really mind chilling with the girls, I love them and I always have a good time with them. It’s just that I also looooooooooove pirate stuff. Advice please. ASAP. Thank

Go to your pirate ball…just make sure you tell your friend before she leaves. possibly the day before. You can even explain to her why you won’t be there….had these plans for MONTHS…shelled out the cash for the costumes.. If she is a good friend, she will understand that the ball would be special time for you and your hubby.

get some old jeans and crop them pulling out the threads, wear long stripy socks, a cute lil vest top… add lots of necklaces and bracelets… curl the ends of your hair, wear a bandanna or leave it lose with big hooped earrings and add lots of eyeliner… you’ll be rocking!
