Question by Happy: I’m planning a birthday party for my daughter who will be turning 10?
What are some good crafts for her and her friends to do to keep them entertained? She really wants to make a craft but not a scrapbook or anything doing with paper. She wants it to be really creative and she’s not into princesses.
My daughter is a bit of a tomboy..she doesn’t like jewlery..she’s really into soccer.
We live where it is REALLY cold…I like the 3rd answerer! Great ideas!

Get a bunch of beads, string, clasps, etc. and turn them loose! Girls love to make jewelry.

Question by forever in love: How to decorate a Greenhouse for a Tinker Bell Birthday Party?
Our daughter is having her 2nd Birthday party this Saturday. We have greenhouses on our property, and I thought that would be the perfect place to hold her party. (we don’t have enough room in our house).

I need ideas on how to decorate the greenhouse for the party.
I would like to turn it into something that looks like Pixie Hallow.
We have a tinkerbell table cloth, plates, napkins.

But I need some creative ideas.

you could hang up some fairy lights and put some hidden between the plants, you could buy some miniature fairy statues or something and dot them around the greenhouse. Or, you could get some cheap pretty colored cloth (pinks,reds etc) and drape it from the ceiling to create a sort of fairy cave?

Food – in clear or colored bowls that match the theme
Cake (a cool cake is always a great decoration)

And don’t forget your camera!!

Ball looking Balloons are ok…. but balloons twisted into shapes, made into costumes, balloon hats, and center pieces are MUCH more interesting.

well you should decorate your basement with balloons and streamers. if its an all girl party, you should have a makeover session. so buy facials, lipgloss, eyeshadow, eyeliner and anything else. also turn on the stereo and JAMMMM! and of course, have TONS of fun: chips, dip, cookie, CAKE, candy

For the balloons go to places like Youtube and learn to make the different shaped balloon creations.

My mother was a teenager in the 50′s. I am wanting to have a sock hop party for her birthday. Any suggestions on decorating, food, etc.?

Definitely do a 50′s theme. You can find 45 rpm records and string them up with ribbon to hang from the ceiling. The party good stores have a lot of 50s themed products – plates, cups, cutouts, etc. You can hang them around the room. Be great if you could dress in the poodle skirt costume. Hamburgers and Hot-dogs and sodas in the old looking coke glasses would work as well. Cookies and or the cakes in the shape of a 45 record would complete the food.

Find CDs with 50s music to play during the party.  Also, “Grease”, and Happy Days took place in the 50s, so you could do a theme from those.

Balloon Poodles in various bright colors would look good sitting on various tables, images posted below to help get those creative juices flowing!

I know you mom would certainly be thrilled with a 50s party. Let’s go to the sock hop!!!!!

Hi its nearly my 13th birthday and its time to plan my 13th party!
I want to have one of the best birthday parties my school has ever seen!!!
We are planning to go to the movies, but what do we do after – the movie theater is in a mall if that helps), should they all come back to my house- and if they do come to my house what do we do there?

uhh, if you have video games for male kids, then do that. Or play some party games or make it into a real teen party (load music, dancing, soda n chips, lots of girls (well I’m thirteen years old)

If you have a party store they have plenty of things for pirate part favors. I did the same for my sons first birthday last October. The Gold coins that are choc. are good. Eye patches little things like that. *** with the gold coins make sure you remove the wrappers before giving i to the child.

I’m in the stages of planning a birthday party for my son. In my culture everyone comes to the party, brothers, sisters, grandmas you get it. I’m fine with that, I want everyone who knows us to be there. The guest list has gotten to be at least 80. I don’t have a budget for all of that and I don’t even know where to start.
